Hydrovac Excavation is widely used in Europe and American for excavation. It is to use high-pressure water to scour the ground instead of traditional way of digging. This would produce a large amount of mixture of water and soil, which occupies a lot of space, and not allowed to discharge to sewer directly. The Client can use GN Slurry Treatment System to dewatering the slurry, reduce volume amount, and recover clean water for reuse. The slurry is always collected from different working sites by Vacuum Truck, and transferred to professional Slurry-Dewater Plant to treatment.
GN Slurry Treatment System is a multi-stage separation system of Solids and Liquid, includes coarse solid particle separation, fine solid particle separation, and slurry dewatering. (chemical dosing system is optional)
First module is Coarse Solid Particle Separation, there is a big Hopper to collect the slurry discharged from Vacuum Truck directly, this Hopper would separate out sundries, such as gloves, plastic bags, etc. And then the slurry would flow to Coarse Vibrating Screen through bottom port of Hopper, the Coarse Vibrating Screen would separate out gravel and other big size of stone.
Second module is Fine Solid Particle Separation, the slurry would be pumped to a Desander Plant, where sand, silt, and other smaller solids would be separated out.
Slurry Dewater Module is to use Decanter Centrifuge, which is to remove fine particles of less than 5microns in the slurry. GN Company can also supply Flocculant Dosing Unit, to prepare either powder or liquid chemical, which would add to decanter centrifuge with slurry together, it helps Decanter Centrifuge to get better performance of solid and liquid separation.
The recovered water from Hydrovac Slurry Treatment System can be reused for hadrovac excavaton, and the dewatered solids can be used for land filling or as construction material.

GN Company recently supplied big bowl Decanter Centrifuge for TBM Slurry Dewatering in Europe, with chemical dosing unit and sludge feeding pump.
GN Company has been focus on manufacturing of Decanter Centrifuge for 13 years since 2007, and its equipment can be widely used for different industries, including drilling mud, wastewater, oily sludge, sewage, mineral water, salt mud dewatering, mineral oil, chemical material from different factories, fruit juice, milk, biodiesel, starch, edible oil, protein, cheese, beverage, etc.
GN Company is capable to manufacture big bowl decanter centrifuge, ranging from 22inch to 30inch, which is 550mm and 760 mm. Fine particles in the slurry is separated by centrifugal force, and based on the separation factor formula, the bigger separation factor, the better separation performance there would be. With big size of diameter, the Big Bowl-Decanter Centrifuge can get bigger separation force with relatively low speed of bowl, this would also ensure safety in operation and stable of running of the equipment itself.
Because there is much high content of fine particle in TBM slurry, so there should be necessary protection for decanter centrifuge. GN Technical Team designs and installs tungsten carbide inserts on the screw, and tungsten carbide bushing on the slurry distribution port and solids cake discharge port. All these would extend working hours of centrifuge and decrease maintenance.
And GN Technical Team also designs VFD for the two motors of Decanter Centrifuge, and PLC and HMI touch screen would make control easier.

Recently GN Company supplied one unit of 3-Phase Decanter Centrifuge for African Client, for oil sludge treatment in oil field. The client would like to remove Impurity and Water from oil, and recover clean oil as much as possible. 3-Phasae Decanter Centrifuge is used for Solid, Water and Oil separation by centrifugal force, and the mixture would be discharged separately from Decanter.
Regarding to oil sludge, besides oilfield drilling waste, Decanter Centrifuge can also work for refinery waste, and crude oil tank bottom residual. The recovered oil by Decanter Centrifuge, its impurity & water content is less than 3%.
Besides supplying single equipment, GN Company takes more advantages of design and supplying One Stop Turnkey Solution.
For Oil Sludge Treatment, because it is high viscosity and density, firstly GN Company supplies Sludge Solids Vacuum Pump to collect and transfer the sludge into our System. Secondly, we supply Pre-mixing Tank, which is used to heat and add water into sludge, in order to make it have fluidity, and solids concentration become less than 20% in the sludge. Thirdly, we supply Shaker, which is used to remove coarse particles from sludge. Fourthly, we have 3-Phase Decanter Centrifuge, for oil, water, and solids separation. (For some projects, we suggest 2-Phase Decanter Centrifuge + 3-Phase Disc Separator, which the recovered oil is more clean).

GN Company completed production of one unit of customized design Sludge Vacuum Pump, which is specially used for bilge cleaning in shipyard.
Because of the small size of hatchway and big depth from deck to bilge bottom, so very few machines can be put down to clean the bilge instead of manpower. This Pump is specially designed to be able to put into the cabin easily.
The Sludge Vacuum Pump can be used to transfer sludge, solids, powder, sand, slurry, etc. And it is 100% air operation/driven, so it can work safely in frame proof area. And GN Company has CE Certification for this Pump. Till now, GN Company already supplied the Pump for clients in UK, Norway, Greece, Portugal, Russia, Oman, UAE, Bahrain, Nigeria, Mongolia, India, Malaysia, etc.

This Vacuum Pump is automatically working for suction and discharge material, and greatly saves manpower. Both of its suction and discharge time can be adjustable within 0~30seconds. Its working procedure is suction-discharge, suction-discharge, suction-discharge, etc.
There is no cost of electricity or diesel for the Pump itself, but it shall be supplied air, always Air Compressor. GN Company doesn't manufacture air compressor, while we suggest clients to find from local market, in order to save cost for both purchase and shipment. For example, air requirement for our smallest model of Pump is Air amount 4.3m3/minute (150CFM), and Air Pressure 550~690Kpa (80~100PSI).
Regarding to hoses used for Pump, the clients can purchase from GN Company, or find in local market based on references/pictures supplied by GN Technical Engineers.

GN Company completed production and painting of a GNDL-201 Sludge Dewatering Multi Screw Press, and it is expected to ship in the end of October. This client from Brazil asked the wetted parts of screw press shall be made of stainless steel 316, because of the concern of corrosion of sludge. And GN Company is also capable to design and manufacture wetted parts with material made of stainless steel 304, and Duplex stainless steel.
GN Screw Press is widely used for sewage treatment, including municipal, agriculture, food, starch, oil, pharmaceutical, chemical, paper, leather, etc. But if clients would like to reduce oil content in sludge cake after dewatering, it is better to use Decanter Centrifuge.
