GN Solids Control makes decanter centrifuge for slope oil treatment. Following is the slope oil need to be treated from a client:
The material is Slope Oil which after keeping for 2 days, the net weight of it becomes 0.98%.
At Phase 1: (at the top), The oil in the Raw Material becomes around 30 to 40%
Phase 2: (in the middle), 40 to 50% becomes water.
Phase 3: ( at the bottom), Crude oil sludge is around 10 to 20%
Density:
In the slope oil Water Density: 1.000
in the slope oil the Oil Density: 0.945
Please Note: after the tests, we found out that the Emulation sample has also 2 parts
Density of Emulation Sample:
Phase 1: 0.995
Phase 2 (Sludge sample): 1.007
We are familiar with the Decanter Centrifuge therefore we don’t need any details about it, but please can you give us an estimate price for this. We are bidding in a Contract and it is very important to have the price as soon as possible.
BTW, the decanter centrifuge capacity needs to be 2000 L/H.
GN Solids Control Solutions are as following:
Depends on different oil slopes, we have options of different decanter centrifuge available for clients. For above capacity.2000L/H, GNLW364D-VFD decanter centrifuge can be used. And after solids and liquid separation, the slope can be sent to a 3 phase disc centrifuge. The dis centrifuge can separated the flow into oil water and solids.
If there is coarse solids in the slope oil, some times before sent to the decanter centrifuge for treatment, a shale shaker will be used to screen out the coarse solids in order to protect the centrifuges.
Besides the oil slope treatment, GN decanter centrifuge are widely used in many other industry for solids and liquid separation. This include oil sludge treatment, drilling mud solids control, water treatment, mining slurry treatment.

Recently, GN Solids Control launched the new products: ViST Vacuum Shale Shaker Screen Technology. ViST is Vacuum Screen Technology which is to work with shale shaker to reduce drilling waste and recovery usable drilling fluids. ViST technology is was a pending patent design developed by GN Solids Control from June, 2017. Before launching to the market, GN Solids Control took factory test and jobsites test to ensure its performance. It proved to be very efficient for recycling drilling fluids.
The ViST Pan is installed under the last screen or mounted externally. And a suction hose is connected to ViST vacuum unit. The compressed air from air compressor or the rig air supply is required to create suction on the last screen surface, pulling additional fluid off the cuttings. It can reduce the liquid on the drilling cuttings by 30-50%. GN ViST Vacuum Shale Shaker Screen Technology can suits for different shale shaker models, and a set of ViST Vacuum Shale Shaker Screen unit can cover 2 or 3 shale shakers.
The ViST Vacuum Shale Shaker Screen Technology can be used under shale shaker screens to further drying the cuttings, and recovery more usable drilling fluids. It can be used as a replacement of High G drying shaker. Compared with High G drying shale shaker, the ViST Vacuum Shale Shaker Screen Technology only consume air, there is no electrical parts. In this case, the ViST Vacuum Shale Shaker Screen Technology is a perfect choice for offshore drilling and for hazardous areas. And there is no shaker screen consumption. The operation cost is low.
GN Solids Control developed this technology pushed by some clients. They have the request for projects, but they cannot buy it in the market. GN Solids Control owns his own Research and Development department (R&D). Till now GN Solids Control developed over 20 patents, which are already approved. Some new patent application is under process. That is the reason clients pushed GN to do the research, They believed that GN Solids Control are capacity to do it. And GN did it.

This week, a big quantity of vacuum slurry transfer pump unit has been ready for shipment. The big quantity of vacuum slurry transfer pump unit is prepared for a big project in Beijing for big capacity material and for long distance transfer.
GN vacuum slurry transfer pump is also named as waste vacuum pump, or solids transfer pump. It is a 100% air driven slurry transfer vacuum pump for liquid, slurry, and solids transfer. GN vacuum slurry transfer pump is with a special structure design, it can be used at tough environmental for high solids content and big solids size transfer. The vacuum slurry pump is with the features of high working performance and less maintenance. The vacuum slurry pump can be used to transfer material with high gravity and high density, solids content max. up to 80%. Another advanced feature is that GN vacuum pump can be used for long distance transfer. The max design transfer length can up to 1000m.
The client is looking for transferring units to suit for long distance material transfer for a long time. Once they met GN Solids Control on Beijing CIPPE oil and saw the jobsite video of GN vacuum slurry transfer pumps, they are surprised by the wide application range and the up to 1km away transfer distance. As they did not use the vacuum slurry transfer pump, in order to confirm that GN vacuum slurry transfer pump can suit for their application, they rent a pump for trial. After jobsite test, they are confident with GN vacuum slurry transfer pump and confirmed the order to GN.
In the first order, they requested 8 units vacuum slurry transfer pump. Every 4 vacuum slurry pump units are fixed inside a modified 20ft container for easy movement and good protection. All inlet pipes, outlets pipes and air feeding pipes are fixed well on the modified container.
Besides vacuum slurry pump, GN Solids Control can make other full line equipment for mud solids control and drilling waste management, such as shale shaker, mud cleaner, decanter centrifuge, shake r screens, etc….

Disc stack centrifuge is also called 3-phase centrifuge unit. It is one of the major separation equipment for oily sludge separation.
In oily sludge separation system, there are normally at least 2 sets centrifuges. Firstly, a decanter centrifuge will remove the sand to reduce the solids contents in the liquids. Disc centrifuge will be used after 2-phase decanter centrifuge.
Why disc centrifuge should be used after decanter centrifuge?
The reason is that, in order to have better separation performance, the max. solids / soil content in the liquid entering into disc centrifuge is better to be controlled below 3%. So before feeding to 3-phase Disc centrifuge, the oily sludge liquid should be separated by 2-phase decanter centrifuge.
What is the difference of 2-phase decanter centrifuge and 3-phase disc centrifuge?
2-phase decanter centrifuge is used for liquid and solids separation. After the decanter centrifuge, the output is liquid mixture (oil & water mixture), and solids phase. While the disc centrifuge is used for 3 phase separation. After disc centrifuge, there will be 3 kinds of outputs: water, oil and solids.
What is the quality of the solids, recovered oil and water after decanter centrifuge and 3 phase disc centrifuge?
The oil content in the solids discharged from decanter centrifuge is between 2%-5% which can be sent to biodegradation or thermal unit for final disposal.
The oil/water mixture from decanter centrifuge will be separated again to get oil, water and soil. The recycled water recovered from disc centrifuge can be reused in the oily sludge washing process, or for dilution. The oil content in the recovered oil from disc centrifuge is around 500-1000PPM. It is clean enough to sell to the refinery company.
GN Solids Control is a leading manufacturer which can offer complete solution for oily sludge separation. Besides decanter centrifuge and disc centrifuge, GN Solids Control does also have other processing equipment for waste management and oil sludge separation, like inclined plate clarifier, oil/water separator, screw conveyor, high G drying shaker, vertical cuttings dryer, dewatering system…
