What is 3 VFD PLC Controled decanter Centrifuge?

3 VFD means the decanter centrifuge have 3 VFD driving system, one for the centrifuge main motor, one for the back drive motor, the third is for the decanter centrifuge feeding pump motors. GN 3 VFD PLC Controled decanter centrifuge Features

The GN VFD and PLC controled centrifuge allows operator to adjust bowl speed and differential speed and pump speed without changing the pulley and belt. The fixed speed centrifuge can use mechanical method to change pulley for speed changing, but it may not reach the perfect differential speed for different applications. And the pulley changing for the speed is limited in several speed, and VFD decanter centrifuge can give any speed for the customers and any differential speed

Anyway, depends on differential applications, and budget, customer may also choose to use the simple machine fixed speed decanter centrifuge with some pulley to change speed. And use the bypass function on GN decanter centrifuge feed tube to get the correct capacity from the feeding pump.

For GNLW363BG fixed centrifuge if we fix proper pulley to get the gearbox input speed from back drive motor to be 1152 RPM or connect the gearbox directly with coupling to a 6 Pole motor,and run centrifuge at 60HZ.

• Case 1: Centrifuge Bowl Speed 3200 RPM, the Differential speed =( 3200-1152)/57=36RPM

• Case 2:Centrifuge Bowl Speed 2500 RPM, the Differential speed =( 2500-1152)/57=24RPM

• Case 3: Centrifuge Bowl Speed 2000RPM, the differential speed=(2000-1152)/57=15RPM

The Fixed Speed Centrifuge by changing pulley to get different bowl speed, but the back drive motor speed is the same, so it is not convenient to change the differential speed.For each fixed bowl speed, only one differential speed.
