GN Company completed production of one complete set of Screw Press Dewatering System, including Screw Press, Sludge Feeding Pump, Polymer Preparation & Dosing Unit, and plan to ship to European client’s job site soon. The system would be used for sludge dewatering in a small municipal sewage treatment plant.

Dewatering Screw Press is a newly developed equipment of sludge dewatering equipment, and mainly used for sludge dewatering in wastewater treatment. Comparing with Filter Press or Decanter Centrifuge, it has obvious advantages of low investment, low operation cost, and low energy cost. It achieves dewatering by principle of screw extrusion, through the strong squeezing force, which is generated from the change of screw diameter and screw pitch, and the tiny gap between floating ring and fixed ring.

GN Company now has capability of manufacturing screw press with diameter 100mm, 130mm, 200mm …… 400mm, with per unit capacity of 0.1m3/hour to more than 100m3/hour. The wetted part, which is contact with sludge, is generally made of stainless steel 304, 316, and duplex stainless steel 2205 is also available, especially for sludge with high content of chloride, as duplex stainless steel has much better performance of corrosion resistance.

Besides supplying single unit of dewatering equipment, GN Company is also capable to manufacture and supply the supporting equipment, such as Sludge Feeding Pump (progressive cavity pump), Polymer Dosing Unit, Screw Conveyor (used to collect and transfer sludge cake), Tank, etc.

GN Technical Team is also capable to design and supply the whole system in containerization or on skid.
