Decanter centrifuge is widely used in oil and gas drilling field. They have many applications.

The main application of decanter centrifuge for oil and gas drilling field

1) Middle speed centrifuge is widely used in solids mud system to for the recovery of barite. It can reduce the mud weight.

2) Decanter centrifuge can be used in drilling waste management system to treat water based mud and cuttings, oil based mud and cuttings.

3) Decanter centrifuge can be used for waste water treatment.

4) Decanter centrifuge can also be used together with chemical dosing system as a dewatering unit.

For different applications the layout of the decanter centrifuge is different.

1) When used in the solids control system for barite recovery, it is usually put on the tank top after other solids control equipment, like shale shaker, desander, desilter, vacuum degasser, etc…

2) When used together with chemical dosing system as a dewatering unit, it is normally put insides the chemical system container, or on the top of the container. Also it may be put outside.

3) The most normal way is to put on a telescopic skid. The skid will be higher than the mud tanks. In this case, the clean mud from decanter centrifuge will be flow to mud tanks or next process under gravity. It can save a transfer pump and storage tank.

GN portable design telescopic skid is welcomed by the oil and gas drilling field. It is compact design with small footprint. It is accordance with HSE requirement, and contains ladders, guardrails, walkways. The positive pressurized VFD control and the screw feeding pump for the decanter centrifuge can both be mounted on the skid under the centrifuge. They do not need to be removed during shipment.

When the telescopic skid need to be shipped from one side to another, you only need to reduce the height by pin, other accessories can all be mounted on the skid. And the walkways are designed to suits both high height and the low height.
